Mr Thela’s "Departure" stands out as a gripping highlight from his album INTSIKA (KING OF GQOM), a project that immerses listeners in the raw energy of Gqom’s rhythmic core. Crafted entirely by Thela himself, the track blends relentless basslines with introspective lyricism, showcasing his knack for weaving atmospheric depth into high-octane production.

The song’s driving force lies in its hypnotic flow, where Thela’s distinctive voice cuts through the dense soundscapes he’s built. "Departure" captures the essence of his sound, both a departure from conventional beats and a journey into the soul of South African electronic music. Fans of Gqom’s darker, more introspective side will find its layered textures and rhythmic precision compelling.
